Elliot Soloway

Elliot Soloway, Ph.D. Arthur F. Thurnau Professor, CSE Division, College of Engineering, School of Education, School of Information, U. of Michigan, Ann Arbor. In 2001, undergraduates selected him to receive the “Golden Apple Award” as the Outstanding Teacher of the Year at UMich. In 2019 Soloway co-founded, and is Co-Director of, the Center for Digital Curricula, whose mission is to provide deeply-digital, OER (Open Education Resources) curricula that is explicitly designed to address today’s screen-first Gen Alpha children. Since 2019-20, 50,000+ K-5, learners have used the Center’s OER curricula and its hosting environment, the Roadmap Platform – with demonstrated increases in achievement (e.g., reading)!
